The "Summit Against Violent Extremism" refers to a foundational event held in Dublin in 2011, which led to the creation of the global Against Violent Extremism (AVE) network.

This event, hosted by Google Ideas, the Institute for Strategic Dialogue (ISD), and the Gen Next Foundation, was the origin of the AVE network. It brought together former extremists, survivors of violence, and experts from various sectors to share experiences and develop collaborative ways to counter all forms of violent extremism.
